Who Am I?

Hi.
I'm Emma.

I like chocolate, coconut, flowers, pretty things, and music.
Oh yeah, and traveling. Lots of traveling.

I graduated college in May 2011 with a degree in Spanish and a minor in biology. Strange combo, I know. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to make that work... Since I had no immediate plans for life after college, aka life in the real world, I packed up and left for Spain, where I spent the last year working as an English Language & Culture Assistant. Basically this means that I hung out with middle schoolers everyday and taught them important things that they're teachers couldn't, like how 'minus' is pronounced 'my-nus' and not 'me-noose'. Important things like that.

And now that the year is over? Who knows where life will take me. I'm living back home in Wisconsin at the moment, hopefully only temporarily. The idea of living in the USA for the rest of my life scares me.

So take some time to look back through my adventures this past year, and stay tuned for whatever craziness I get myself into back in the land o' cheese and beer!

  1. Hi Emma, I stumbled across your blog while doing a search on google for the Green Lake. We are a couple in our early 30's based in London and were dead keen on either the green lake in Austria or Croatia for first week in June 2012. We both did our diving last year so quite keen. Would be great to hear from you to find out if you've had any further luck on logistics for the Green Lake diving. My email address is amer_chowdhury@yahoo.com

    cheers,
    Amer & Jolanta

  2. Hola Emma!

Good blog!! We would like to link exchange with you!!

We are from Spain, a couple of years ago we decided to leave our jobs and go around the world for a year. After that we decided to start a small business related to travel, called Way Away ( http://www.way-away.com ): an online platform to help independent travellers to build their own trip.

Please send me an email if you are interested to link exchange too

Keep in touch! Waiting for your email
    Un saludo,

    Belén
